This was the moment when I started to hate her! And it was so obvious that is some e sort of command for show's viewers like "love her, love her, LOVE her". What an absurd idea!!! She never ever, not once, tries to put on a wig, cut or dye her hair, put on make up or wear disguising clothing to even try to hide when she is out in public. She doesn't care that she is a a poisoned-murderer. She doesn't think anything is wrong, she just can't handle prison, which I get that. I started binge watching dexter after the announcment of New blood and ive reached the season with Hannah and i cant express how unwell she sit with me because it was so obvious she was put there to be 'liked' as the hot love interest, and im like why? Why would a serial killer fall for such a blatant 'flesh' reason for someone? He's supposed to be calculative, smart, but it just seems he thought with his dick the entire season which was a polar opposite to how he was in the previous seasons where he never approached a woman with the desire to have sex with her or 'chemistry'.. They should have just returned Lumen it would make a ton more sense, or i dunno, explored something with Debrah, would make more sense atleast. And leaving his son with someone who is a known 'killer' ?? Why? I just pray she doesnt make an appearance in New blood or ill throw up. ( Nothing against Yvonne cuz i love her as an actress, especially in mass effect), also im about to start reading the books and thank god she doesnt appear in them. What makes me even madder is right before that, feeling sorry for herself, she says sarcastically "I really like my cell mate. She robbed a liquor store to buy some meth." As if she, remoreseless cold-blooded killer of five people, is somehow better than an addict. Out of all the extremely annoying things Hannah says and does this one probably pissed me off the most, probably because I'm a recovering meth addict myself and I know that addiction has nothing to do with morality, class, or intelligence. audi...In narrative the author maybe of 2 types: the
audience see story only through his eyes, and the omni-present author
(who sees everything). Here is a mix. Dexter is the first type,
everything else is the second type. And now notice, that Hanna was
never shown to us from the eyes of omni present author. Everybody else
were shown sometimes alone, out of Dexter vision, we could see how they
reflect about their actions, their thought, regrets, worries, joys.
Hanna - never. She was NEVER shown alone with her thoughts, actions.
Only through Dexters eyes, she was only his own delusion of real
himself!! NEXT cheat how they met. She was already under crime
investigation! Director shows us only how she drills Dexter with her
eyes to seduce him, thats clear in every scene. Of course! On him is
her future, he rules the evidence! There could be no other solution!
Doubt? You think the rich guy with yacht appeared out of nothing later? Same
story! She needed to survive, how she explains all her crimes, she
needs to be protected!! The only reason of any her cold action! Only to
escape investigation, then prison, then being caught. You think it took
her much time to turn Harrison into love to her?:)

She was always given to this movie as a negative, which means enemy to
Dexter and this is who she was to be! He acts according to this not
real himself and doesn't kill Saxon and result is vegetable state of
Debora! He took decision and understood exactly that moment. She is his
inseparable part! Look second time last episode, everything is there!
Later he tells him in police camera, you helped me to see who i really
am, cut pieces and blood! When Debora becomes vegetable, it strikes him
and he hates this himself whom he turned to be because of Hanna!
Basically he hates Hanna at that moment! You feel cooked up because you
feel exactly how he feels at that moment!! He is not gonna be with that
woman never! Look how he talks on phone last time. To Hanna very cold,
only where are you? and words of love only to Harrison!

So, congratulations, you felt exactly right being pissed by the end,
because you felt Dexter and it means you really watched and your love to
him is not ruined!

Woahh and her last phrase to Harrison? Lets go eat an ice-cream?;)
Thats the genius peak of her expression as a negative character!! When
else Hanna offered somebody to eat unless it aimed at getting rid of
unnecessary ballast, especially that she didn't need him anymore after
escaping from USA?;)Natalia Koliadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16007726162544874660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2037600106229841162.post-26422933210186489532015-12-29T06:33:32.998-05:002015-12-29T06:33:32.998-05:00And if i didnt make you tired yet, this is my revi...And if i didnt make you tired yet, this is my review from imbd 2 parts
:)
If you feel betrayed and cheated - you were betrayed and cheated by
Hanna Mackay - thats EXACTLY how Dexter was feeling at the end!! You
were right!! Thats what makes the end genius - disappointment!!

Yes i felt at the end also what the cooking cook, what is that??!! I
didn't sleep all night and day trying to find explanation, because it
was shocking exactly by all reasons how are described by people who
gave 0 point in review!! And i found it!

Who was real Dexter whom we followed so much time and loved? He was
serial killer that we all know his nature! What was the main "song"
that started with irritating seasons 7-8? That he doesn't want to kill
anymore because of Hanna, he wants to be with her, etc. even his father
says at the end, you are not old Dexter anymore. He stopped to be
himself and this delusion came to him from Hanna! Basically, that was
AGAINST his nature, surprise, but Hanna was exactly who brought him
against himself! In this story Hanna is not a positive character, she
is exactly his enemy! I hated Hanna, i knew it inside, and even if you
loved her, thats has explanation too. You were LOYAL with Dexter.
Loyalty is when you believe to somebody about good or bad as a given,
without doubts if they are right or wrong. Those who hated her were
loyal with Debra, she was inseparable part of Dexter.

Hanna actually was never presented as a positive character. She was
from beginning negative. If you read about narrative theory and means
to present characters, you will learn a few interesting things how
author or director develops the story and by which means. Hanna was
never presented positive. Therer is not a single action from director
about this. The biggest cheat starts from her appearance. Previous
women were classically blond if they were good, kind looking, sweet, or
black bad like Lila with many supporting details. And here the first
delusion comes - Hanna is blond, supposed to be good, but empty of any
other proof about this. She is not exactly sweet, the actress was
chosen to show her, is someone from whom men loose head, model looking,
drilling eyes, very stressed lips when she talks same all the time.
Blond but not good. Natalia Koliadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16007726162544874660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2037600106229841162.post-25521552202598718082015-12-28T12:29:05.263-05:002015-12-28T12:29:05.263-05:00So, the fact that we hated Hanna was coz she was c...So, the fact that we hated Hanna was coz she was clearly presented as a negative character, which means AGAINST DEXTER. Everything makes sense now. As in case with Lila, i bet most of you hated Lila, but there it was clear, the means by which director presented her negativity were easy to catch: vulgar appearance, vulgar speech etc. With Hanna everything was also quite clear, but on more inner levels with a good cover of her appearanceas. She didnt give a shit about victims, never regreted, she was criminal, she was empty, she had appearance that attracts for bad destiny, she tried to kill Deb etc, this exactly was meant to say. She was never positioned as positive but very cleverly presented as positive to other characters of the movie with whome we are loyal, but actually negative until the very end where this idea came true as i wrote up. Thats we were correct feeling so bad about her and previous episode and characters didnt let our intuition down.

And i was thinking about one observation that hurricane was called Laura as Dexters mother. Some people say that it had meaning that it came to destroy. But i came to the idea that accroding to the final explanation which i wrote up, the meaning was not in destruction, but that Dexter turned the boat to real himself in this metaphor, directly to the inside of his "mother". Natalia Koliadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16007726162544874660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2037600106229841162.post-48129793018240020812015-12-28T11:38:32.757-05:002015-12-28T11:38:32.757-05:00Hi!! I m so happy i found your page! I totally agr...Hi!! I m so happy i found your page! I totally agree!! I finished yesterday night watching Dexter and had totally sleepless night of what the fucking fuck it was! And then sleepless day, literally, i was turned inside out looking for possible explanation. And i FOUND an orgasmic one for myself which made me everything to the point!! And i want to share it with you!
So, i was watching Dexter all seasons until 7 thinking that it was so perfectly fitting to the speed of every event, so cleverly played by actors, it was total logic and comfort, i said wow, genius way to present a story. Even when i was pissed by Lila i understood that everything was cleverly shot, cleverly developed without a problem or gap. Even that i didnt like in the beginning Lumen, still later i understood her situation very deep and i would kill myself those bastards rather than any other bastard in the movie (plus Hanna:)). And then hop - wtf with season 7? And then 8? I was waiting for a clever development and was sure everything should fit to me as before, but it didnt and didnt. And i was hating Hanna and directors together with her:) but after thinking through night and day everything became clear to me!
I truly waited for no way that Dexter will go back to her. And i was right. Though not immediately realized how deep it was put.
And what happened? Before death of Deb he was ok planning future with Hanna. When Dexter faced death of Deb, to my opinion, he immediately hated Hanna for what she brought up in him - this HUMAN bullshit which led to let his beloved sister get shot. He just couldnt imagine to return to this woman who fucked up HIM inside and outside! There could be no future not coz of non be able protecting Hanna, but coz he already didnt protect Deb by being fucked up in his nature by Hanna. He stayed for Deb to kill Saxton, and acting like an asshole according to the role Hanna raised in him he lost Deb. But he couldnt stay anywhere else than isolation or death (this is open how intentionally it was, after Ritas death he also took boat and pushed boat to nowhere). If he lives normal life Hanna could find him for example or other people would require explanations.
Now i can sleep calmly and again love my dear Dexter to the bottom of my heart:) i hope this would make you also feel easier and logical about the end.Natalia Koliadahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16007726162544874660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2037600106229841162.post-84871860467190767972015-10-13T23:29:23.776-04:002015-10-13T23:29:23.776-04:00Personally, I enjoyed the dexter/hannah relationsh...Personally, I enjoyed the dexter/hannah relationship.
