Pretty Little Liars S05E17 "The Bin Of Sin" Review

So here I am again reviewing "Pretty Little Liars", the self-flagellation I engage in everytime I watch this show (although enjoyable) in episodes such as these it's really hard for me to get behind the characters, amidst the jumping to conclusions, the diving into situations without having enough information and those damn secrets that aren't that damn serious! After 4 Seasons of this madness nothing is really happening and this episode plodded along to build and end a few relationships. I'll get to the play by play after the break.

Gotham S01E13 "Welcome Back, Jim Gordon" Review

I'm back, thanks to an unsecure Wifi connection, I am back with the "Gotham" reviews. So just a quick update before I give my review of the current episode of "Gotham". So that glorious moment came when Fish Mooney implemented her ridiculous "plan" which almost worked, only to have Oswald swoop in and turn the tables. Falcone decided he was gonna choke a bitch and sent Fish along with Butch (who I like) to the chopping block. Meanwhile, Gordon had an EXTREMELY brief stint as a guard as Arkham...while that was a good episode, his stint as an Arkham guard was WAY TOO brief and I really wish we'd have seen more of that before Jim got his shield back, all of that happened kinda quick, no? Anyways now on to this episode of "Gotham".

Pretty Little Liars S05E16 "Over A Barrel" Review

Well kids and kittens here we are once again, for those of you outside the know let me give you all a quick summary of the goings-on here in The Strangeverse. So I lost my job, packed up my entirely life and moved to Washington (the state...not D.C....never D.C....) to be with the love of my life, and I've been here since the end of November, where I'm currently staying internet is unavailable with the exception of an unsecure network that I am currently using right now. In the time between here and now my primary use of the internet has been mostly job searching and the (tedious but necessary task of) filling out applications.

Suffice it to say, "Pretty Little Liars" has been the furthest thing from my mind, and considering I already had my fair share of problems with this season (that I addressed HERE, please read if you haven't) I was none too keen on whether or not I'd continue reviewing this series and have have added "Gotham" to fill in the cracks should I cease reviewing "Pretty Little Liars". But as fate would have it, My Boss from my "Other Life" hit me up via text message and after asking her "WHO HIRED YOU?!" (inside joke) told me she missed talking to me about "Pretty Little Liars". Well this lit a fire under me to hurry up and get caught up, which wasn't difficult considering only a few episodes had passed since my move.

Since "Pretty Little Liars" has been on break, it has been announced that Season 7 will be the final season of the series. Now that I know there are only 2 seasons left in the chamber I can rest comfortably somewhat that there will be some kind of resolution to this insane melodrama of lies on top lies wrapped in more lies, dipped in lies and deep fried in lies and served with a side of lies (seriously, the lies are out of control). So with all of that out of the way, let's get to it and see what we see (which is never much...but...then again that's to be expected...);

This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things...

I tried writing this before but this time, I think I got it. This is gonna be a LONG and possibly very angry (but well thought-out and accurate) article so you might want to put on a pot of coffee as I'm gonna address a few things. Over the past 2 years or so I've noticed a disturbing trend that has grown and has become a re-occurring thorn in my side, so much so that I've written two articles addressing it already (HERE & HERE). But unfortunately, this topic continues to resurface and grow many heads like some undying (Hail) Hydra. So in case you didn't read the previous articles I'll tell you what the trend is. The trend is people suggesting and changing previously White Characters into Black Characters or Male Characters into Female Characters all in the name of diversity. I'll be addressing that and another problem I've noticed. This other problem is the one that frustrates me the most and that's African Americans who complain NON-STOP about African American portrayals in film and DO NOTHING ABOUT IT! I'll address all these things and more. It's a tall order, let's get started...
