So About That Avengers: Doomsday Cast List...

So...now we have an official cast list to "Avengers: Doomsday" and it more or less reads as a "Who's that again?" list of actors in the MCU, and dare I say it reveals the problem I noticed all along, a problem I'll get to after the break.

The Current State Of The MCU

And so oh my brothers and only friends, Phase Five of The MCU is coming to a close and my oh my what a shite show this is. Disconnected storytelling, possible scandals and many other issues plauge the once mighty MCU to the point where every new project is met with a collective yawn from the masses. In this article I'm gonna talk about where things are now and what I would have changed about this phase to make a much more cohesive story. Let's begin.

"Loki" and The MCU Moving On

In the previous Strange Log I said I was more than likely done with The MCU (after "Spider-Man: No Way Home", "Doctor Strange and The Multiverse Of Madness" and maybe "Shang-Chi") this decision was largely inspired by Marvel now planning to trend more woke and appeal to people who aren't fans of these characters but would rather use these characters to push a social/political agenda. While my position hasn't changed the finale of "Loki" does give me hope for what Marvel has planned next. There has been much speculation on the man behind the curtain and many were correct in their assumptions. I'll be addressing my opinion on "Loki" the series and what I think will be The MCU moving on. SPOILERS AHEAD, you've been warned.

What Marvel Did Wrong and Then Right... Part One

This is going to be a 2 part article but it's something I've been thinking about ever since I watched "The Snyder Cut", Marvel's Netflix shows and their latest offering of TV shows on Disney+ now this is topic is coming to the forefront of my mind, but I have to do a lot of legwork because like I said this is a 2 part article but for you dear reader, you're gonna have to do some homework (and we all know how much you all LOVE homework). The 2nd Part of this series will be titled "...And What The DCEU ALMOST Did Right", but for now we're focusing on Marvel, but I will have to address DC (or more specifically "Man Of Steel"). Anyway I'm gonna go ahead and assume you're a geek like me and have seen all of The Marvel stuff on Netflix and Disney+ or at the very least you're knowledgeable about it, so let's dive into "What Marvel Did Wrong and The Right..."

A Snapshot Review of "The Punisher" Season Two

This isn't a habit I'm hoping to fall into and by habit, I mean reviewing things that are bad, and that's not to say this season was bad bad...but...it wasn't good either. Netflix is really doing this character a disservice and after his explosive entrance in Marvel best (now canceled) series "Daredevil," we all had hope for Jon Bernthal's Punisher series. The 1st Season was good as his first solo outing but this...naw...and let me explain. Let's dive in.

The "Infinity War" Trailer

Well, Christmas has come early for nerds and geeks everywhere as the MOST anticipated trailer has dropped, yes, "Hanna Montana II" has arrived! No, I'm obviously talking about the semi-conclusion to The Marvel Cinematic Universe "Avengers: Infinity War". The build up to the entire MCU has been reached and we'll be checking it out as soon as next year. Suffice it to say this is the culmination of a 9 Year project starting all the way back in 2008 with "Iron Man". So let's get to the trailer and see what's what.

The Defenders Season One Review

Marvel's Defenders, finally the stars of the small screen team up in an Avengersesque style to take on the forces of evil. While this won't be a thorough review of the series, I will be discussing what I think about the series and where I think the series is going and what I hope happens. So let's dive into the good, the bad and the ugly and see where we go.

My Thoughts On The "Black Panther" Trailer

For starters let's get one important thing out of the way, this is NOT a teaser trailer, this is a full on trailer! A teaser is like 30 to 45 seconds long, this is a full on minute and some change. And in that minute and some change we get a good look at a few things that I wanna address so let's talk about it and see what we see.

My Thoughts On "The Defenders" Trailer

I haven't discussed Marvel's Netflix series on my Blog much, not because I haven't seen them, that's a bold face lie, I watched the hell outta Seasons 1 & 2 of "Daredevil", loved me some "Jessica Jones", had fun with "Luke Cage" and I'm still unsure what to make of "Iron Fist". That being said, Marvel has been owning film and while DC is killing it in the TV realm (more or less) Marvel's Netflix series raised the bar and now they're diving into the obvious and eventual team up series "The Defenders" and finally we have a trailer for it. Let's dive in!

Are The Big Villains TOO COOL For Live Action ?

If Marvel has taught us anything it's that the BIG villains are indeed doable if you give them the proper time and build up to lead into their badassness. However, the recent Avengers movie wasn't the first attempt at putting a HUGE villain on screen, it was just the first to successfully introduce the concept. But let me take a step back and explain this article. There are comic book villains who are VERY intense and their appearance is VERY involved, they're almost larger than life characters who endure a reputation of being the biggest of the baddest. Characters like these are almost too much for the human brain to comprehend in a live action setting. Or maybe not too much to comprehend...but perhaps TOO COOL for live action.

Fan Rage & The Right To B*tch

In light of the recent "Iron Man 3" Mandarin Controversy (That I'm officially calling "Mandargate"), I watched several videos and read a few articles detailing the polarizing reactions from fans and laymen alike which lead me to write this article, Do fans have the right to bitch? The short answer is Yes, and I'll give you the long answer after the break;

Can We Talk About "Iron Man 3" Now ?

So unlike most you cats, I got to see "Iron Man 3" earlier than some of you so I was sitting on quite a bombshell for a few days. Now that "Iron Man 3" has been released to the general public, I can discuss my thoughts in greater detail and discuss some spoilers. So if you haven't seen "Iron Man 3" and want to stay away from spoilers, DO NOT READ BELOW THE BREAK! However if you don't care about spoilers please continue on;
