Alright kids, didn't think it'd be so soon, but here we are again with YET another trailer for "Avengers: Doomsday," and either Marvel is desperate, or they're REALLY hoping this brings them back from the dead because this trailer is practically giving the game away. What do I mean? Let's dive in;
This time, the trailer starts with a voice-over from Sue Storm, confirming that the Richards Family does indeed have a history with Doom, which should have been established in "Fantastic Four: First Steps"...by simply having a throwaway line of Reed not being able to contact Victor for his help in beating Galactus, that'd have at least established that the two knew each other, but this trailer establishes that The Richards family knows Doom quite well and hint at his backstory. Whether or not this will be the same backstory from the comics...doubtful...but given what we see in this trailer, I doubt very much that the leaks are credible because already we're seeing some things that don't exactly line up.

They're letting Victor speak and really showcasing Victor's power here. In the last trailer, we saw Victor block a direct hit from Stormbreaker like Goku, and now we see him raise Sentinels from the ashes of what I can only imagine is Earth after some catastrophic event. But more curious is that Doom says, "All of you have lived stolen lives, and now you must give them back." Stolen from who and how? These are questions that need answering, but right now it doesn't seem like at any point Doom is going to present himself as a good guy with a plan to separate colliding universes using canons. Plus, we get to see Doom burst out of some kind of ship, and it looks like whatever jig is up, as Thor is pissed and ready to strike Doom instantly. Likewise, we see Reed pressing Victor to confess to having done something; whether this is before or after his encounter with Thor is anyone's guess. But Victor gets the last word, saying, "Hell answers to me, for I am Doom!". Yes, Victor, yes you are.

I said it once, and I'll say it again: this movie will be many things, but it will not be boring. And this is to wrap up The FOX X-Men, as the MCU has already cast its X-Men for the most part, introducing Jean Grey in "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" and now announcing Adam Driver as Mister F*cking Sinister (say whatever you want about their X-Men lineup, Adam Driver as Mister Sinister is AMAZING and worth the price of admission already). So it'll be interesting to give them their send-off (granted it'd have been nice to have James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender rather than Stewart and McKellen...but I digress). There is a lot of buildup and hype surrounding Doom and what exactly his plans are, but it will somehow HAVE to involve the multiverse, as this will be part one of the concluding chapter of The Multiverse Saga.

We all know the original villain planned for this saga was Kang and his variants: Immortus, the Scarlet Centurion, and Rama-Tut (as seen in the end of "Ant-Man: Quantumania") and despite Marvel fumbling HARD with The Multiverse Saga, "Loki" seasons 1 and 2 did an excellent job of establishing Kang as a legitimate and different threat than Thanos and DIRECTLY tying Kang to the multiverse and his position in it...but now we have Doom, a character with no build-up, no introduction and no direct involvment with the multiverse. This trailer does a good job of showcasing Doom as a badass, BUT it doesn't give us any idea as to what Doom's motives and goals are other than the vague "Stolen lives" line. What REALLY needs to come through is why Doom, and instead of Kang, and how they're gonna make that swap and make it feel earned, and what exactly " Avengers: Secret Wars " will be? Will we see Henry Cavill as The Beyonder? Will Tom Holland finally get the black suit? So many questions, but damnit, I'm rooting for them. I want them to win. Catch ya when I catch ya.
