Pretty Little Liars S06E01 "Game On, Charles" Review

The day is currently Apr. 14th. I started writing the opening to this review early because I wanted to capture my current thoughts on where Season 5 ended and where this Season begins. I have to say this will probably be one of the oddest season premiers this show has ever had. We're not starting with The Liars in a place we're familiar with anymore, we're starting with The Liars in the clutches of "A". "A" has officially won and has The Liars in his dollhouse. But The Liars aren't without hope, Det. Tanner is now fully aware of The Liars' innocence as well as Alison's, and she has joined forces with Toby & Caleb and has discovered part of "A's" monitoring equipment. Also, Spencer managed to stumble into "A" room and discover some film reels of a one Charles DiLaurentis. Of course, Spencer was the one who cracked the code and discovered "A's" true name as Charles. But they're still in the bunker, still in the dollhouse and still in "A's" clutches. How will this last for 1 more season after this? I. Marlene King revealed that this season will see a 4 year time skip, I guess bypassing all the college years. Will The Liars find out who "A" is and what EXACTLY their motives were or are? All that remains to be seen. We now take you to, Season 6.

The Following S03E14&15 "Dead or Alive" & "The Reckoning" Review

Here we are, kiddos, that's all she wrote! The series finale of "The Following"! Who knew this run would end so early? I had my suspicions, but I thought it'd at least survive for a 4th Season. But as I've said before, it's better for a series to get canceled while it's still good than for it to stick around long enough to become "Dexter". And given the serialized nature of "The Following" and the fact that each season is more or less a self-contained story, and Joe Carroll is no longer with us, it's not like "The Following" is ending with MAJOR plot points left unfinished. If the series had ended in Season Two, that'd be awesome. But here we are at Season Three and The Series Finale, time to take us home.

Wayward Pines S01E01 "Where Paradise Is Home" Review

So here we are, kiddo! "Wayward Pines". Based on the literary series by Blake Crouch, now a TV series with the pilot episode directed by none other than M.Night Shyamalan. Not sure what to make of this one guys, as of yet I haven't watched it but as I've said before, I am a SUCKER for small town mysteries. I must admit, I haven't read the books but I am now rabidly interested in them as I'm starting to think Stephen King is losing his edge (and to be honest, he's kinda getting on my nerves) and I've been looking for something new to read...or listen to since I mostly do audiobooks. I'm not sure what to expect with this series, Will I love it? Will I rip it to pieces? Find out after the break!

The Following S03E12 &13 "The Edge" & "A Simple Trade"

I should have know there was something up when "The Following" schedule showed some doubled up episodes. In case you haven't heard the news already, "The Following" has been officially canceled by FOX. At first I was surprised but after giving it some thought, I realized it was for the best. The show has 2 Seasons in the hole and a 3rd about to wrap up and while Season 2 got better later on, it was pretty much the show's last hurrah. Not to mention with Joe Carroll being executed (c'mon, that REALLY should have been the finale) it was unrealistic to think "The Following" would survive. But I'm here until the ship goes down and covering episodes 12 and 13. Let's dive in!

Good Lord, Spring Sweeps has just swept in and man oh man did things get swept, some obvious ones and some shockers...actually in hindsight, not really a shocker but I digress. The Following S03E11 "Demons" Review

I never thought I'd see the day when Joe Carroll was executed but, it happened. Kudos to the writing team for having the guts to kill off such an important character and while his presence is still there in some capacity, he's not around physically to cause his own joyous and sarcastic brand of mayhem. Granted, having Joe around, the writers would have to think of more convoluted ways to keep Joe alive and they'd have been less and less believable as the series went on, so Joe's death was necessary. Now Theo's taking hold as the main villain but will The Bret Hart of serial killers last? Let's get to the action!

Gotham S01E22 "All Happy Families Are Alike" Review

Here we are folks, The finale of "Gotham". When this project began I considered it an misbegotten project that appeared to be destined for failure. I didn't say what I said out of spite or hatred for the project, but a prequel series about Batman without Batman...c'mon, need we look any further than "Birds Of Prey"? But DC has been killing it in the TV game, what with "Smallville" ushering it in and now Green Arrow, Flash and John Constantine (of all people) have their show, so why not a Batman prequel TV show? Since "Gotham" began airing, I've pretty much said the same thing I've always said "It's a mediocre cop drama with Batman bits sprinkled." and thus far "Gotham" hasn't done anything to make me retract that statement. And I hold by that statement and I'll add "If this had nothing to do with Batman, this show would've been canceled in a few episodes.". But it's been declared that "Gotham" has been renewed for a 2nd Season, is this something to look forward too? Well let's dive in:
