The "Infinity War" Trailer

Well, Christmas has come early for nerds and geeks everywhere as the MOST anticipated trailer has dropped, yes, "Hanna Montana II" has arrived! No, I'm obviously talking about the semi-conclusion to The Marvel Cinematic Universe "Avengers: Infinity War". The build up to the entire MCU has been reached and we'll be checking it out as soon as next year. Suffice it to say this is the culmination of a 9 Year project starting all the way back in 2008 with "Iron Man". So let's get to the trailer and see what's what.

Okay for starters awhile back I wrote an article on whether or not the big villains would be too difficult to translate to the big screen, villains like Apocalypse, Darkseid and yes, even Thanos and I've been proven wrong on nearly all accounts (aside from Darkseid, who as far as I know has yet to make his debut as I have yet to see "Justice League"). But now's not the time for shlock, now's not the time for cutting corners or carefully parceling out the budget, now's the time to throw dollars and make it rain as Marvel's biggest story comes to the silver screen, "The Infinity Gauntlet". With the combined powers of The Space, Soul, Time, Reality, Mind stuff can get CRAZY REAL fast and it'll be good to have a special effects team that can account for that.

All of that being said, I doubt this is the trailer that premiered at D23, an exclusive Disney event for members, but as it stands we've got a solid look at Thanos and the kind of havoc that will be unleashed upon Earth. I have to say right out of the gate, Thanos looks AMAZING as they managed to capture the fact that he's more chin than face and just how LARGE he is in terms of size. What's missing is Lady Death and while she's a piece of the puzzle that can be easily removed, she would have been nice to see as in the comics that's Thanos' whole m.o., to literally court Death. This Thanos seems to be interested in balancing the universe and that's a decent enough m.o. for a smaller story.

It looks like we'll be seeing the debut of The Spidey-Sense, which was absent in "Spider-Man: Homecoming", and Doctor Strange will get to encounter an equally arrogant Tony Stark, their interactions will be pretty awesome. and adding The Guardians Of The Galaxy to the mix will just make things even larger. How the film will balance bringing people from the depths of outer space to the streets of Queens to The African safari is beyond me but this looks like a spectacle of operatic proportions.

All in all I'm pretty pumped to see what happens in this film and the effects it has on the world at large. However, and most unfortunately, I doubt it'll have any effect on The Netflix MCU and that...that makes me sad. While the Netflix series are awesome and do indeed give small nods to The Cinematic Universe, not much correlation tends to be had between the two. Hopefully, it'd be nice to have a few throw away shots of Luke Cage keeping buildings from falling on people and Jessica Jones doing the same, maybe Iron Fist taking out some looters, just small throw away shots to show how much the MCU is effected by a being who is LITERALLY trying to seize control of ALL OF REALITY. But I know this is asking too much. Let me know what you guys think, personally, Marvel did it again and I'm thrilled to see what comes next.
