And so begins the swan song of one of the best written TV shows in TV history. Unfortunately the geniuses over at NBC (thanks to the unsophisticated dullards) have decided to cancel "Hannibal" due to low ratings. One can only hope that this show is rescued by Netflix (I know Amazon & Hulu exist, but I prefer Netflix) but saving a show is extremely rare, if that were the case "Awake" would be in its 3rd Season right now and "Cult" would be a MAJOR hit. Before I get on a tangent, let's begin the review.

Hannibal S03E03 "Secondo" Review
Episodes like this make me feel like the show is losing it's damn mind and in a good way, more or less. In this episode we continue with Will Graham on his search for Hannibal by exploring his "Memory Palace", this leads Graham to Lecter's childhood home in Lithuania. Not much else subplot wise going on in this episode, but it's the slow burn that counts and pretty soon things will heat up. Let's dive in.

Hannibal S03E02 "Primavera" Review
Is it possibly for this show to get any weirder than it already has? Apparently, yes, and if this episode is any indication of just how weird this season will get then OH BOY! In the previous episode we focused just a tiny bit on Bedelia DeMaurier and Hannibal's impersonation as Dr. Fell, but in this episode we switch back to Hannibal's arch nemesis & best friend Will Graham, what craziness awaits us in this episode? Check it out after the break.

Hannibal S03E01 "Antipasto" Review
Daddy is back kids and kittens, "Hannibal" kicks off Season Three after an incredibly brutal finale that saw all of our main characters (with the exception of the big cheese himself, Dr. Lecter) in peril. Jack suffering a massively bleeding neck wound in the pantry, Alana Bloom slowing dying after being pushed out the window by Abigail Hobbs, who's dying in Hannibal's kitchen next to a slowly bleeding out Will Graham, do finales get any darker than this? Maybe. Anyway, we join Hannibal and Dr. DeMaurier (in what appears to be) 8 months in Italy. So what's up with the good doctor now? Find out after the break;

Hannibal S02E13 "Mizumono" Review
There are some Season finales that come along where you kinda have a solid idea of where things are going to go and how it'll end. Hero catches the bad guy before the 40 minute running time is over, the bad guy pulls a trick out of his hat, all hope is lost and then the cavalry comes and all is good...yeah, this was NOT that kinda finale, what this was, was an ABSOLUTE MIND F*CK of the HIGHEST ORDER and I have to say of all the finales I've seen this was by far the bleakest, spoilers abound!

Hannibal S02E12 "Tome-wan" Review
And there you have it folks...this show has taken a left turn into...into...the depths of the human soul? The pit of Hades? The fractured mind of a psychopath? All are acceptable answers but GEEZ, I mean you wanna talk about laying the tension on THICK, this episode was so thick with tension I felt my eyes strain. Lots to discuss and it will be, enjoy.

Hannibal S02E11 "Kō No Mono" Review
Okay, at this point what do I even say? Where do we go from here, guys? Honestly? This show has gone from batsh*t crazy to batsh*t crazier to "I don't know what the hell is going on, but I love it anyway." to out and out mindf*ck territory. Since Will Graham's release he's been coupled with Hannibal and was slowly transforming into a murderer, much to Hannibal's delight and with the death of Freddie Lounds, it seems our boy Graham had truly crossed over...and then this episode comes along and well...

Hannibal S02E10 "Naka-Choko" Review
Okay, so I'm about 80% sure of what Will Graham's plan is regarding the "good" Dr. Lecter, however his methodology in going about doing that is...well...not the best. That being said, a lot of great imagery in this episode and the moment I've been waiting for MASON VERGER!

Hannibal S02E09 "Shiizakana" Review
If this show got anymore disturbing I might have to marry it. I am ABSOLUTELY loving this show and how it's expanding The Hannibal Mythos, specifically the Will Graham character. While I still like Edward Norton's Will Graham, Hugh Dancy has taken Graham to a place I would NEVER have imagined. While this episode was pretty predictable in it's set up, the ending was...well...I'll address that after the break.

Hannibal S02E08 "Su-zakana" Review
This show just keeps getting crazier and crazier by the episode but this one, this one takes the cake, pies and pretty much any other sugary treat available to take. In all my years of enjoying grizzly crime shows involving killers and such, never would I have cooked up a human being being sewn into a horse's stomach with a bird inside her chest (what is this? Serial killer inception ?). But that's the delightful image we were treated to in yesterday's installment of "Hannibal" and it was treated with all the weirdness it so richly deserves. What else were we treated to? Well, let's get to it.

Hannibal S02E07 "Yakimono" Review
SAY IT AIN'T SO! SAY IT AIN'T SO! After days and days of praise Raul Esparaza's Dr. Chilton he (strangely) ends up dead?! NO! SAY IT AIN'T SO! This is an AMAZING turn of events considering Dr. Chilton's death in the "Hannibal" Mythos is only hinted at in the end of "Hannibal" but never actually seen only. Bryan Fuller is REALLY making this series his own. While Dr. Chilton isn't a major player in the "Hannibal" mythos, he certainly is a frequent chess piece that pops up here and there. I was really beginning to enjoy Raul's Chilton, unlike Anthony Heald's Chilton who plays Dr. Chilton as a desperate man who, in his words are "fumbling with people's minds like a freshman tugging on a panty girdle". I hope Raul's Chilton isn't dead but if he is, DAMN! And with that being said (and I think I should've put spoiler tags on this lol) let's get to the meat!

Hannibal S02E06 "Futamono" Review
And so things heat up for "Hannibal" as the hunt is on. Last week's episode had Will attempting to have Hannibal murdered by Matthew Brown (apparently his name is) and we had the return of Dr. Abel Gideon (played wonderfully by. Eddie Izzard). But beneath the move of chess pieces in the cat and mouse game between Will & Hannibal lies a much more sinister and psychological agenda of who can outsmart who, and at the moment Lecter is losing HARD AND FAST!

Hannibal S02E05 "Mukozuke" Review
This is getting crazier and crazier by the second and good gravy were there some shocks and surprises this episode, also not to mention it's ALWAYS a treat to see Ms. Freddie Lounds (good gravy). Anyways, the fate of Beverly Katz is addressed and the cat & mouse game between Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter is off to an insane start, more after the break.

Hannibal S02E04 "Takiawase" Review
I have to say I continue to be impressed with Raul Esparaza's Dr. Chilton, rather than playing him as a slightly inept psychiatrist, Raul's Chilton is more of a smarmy, brilliant yet over confident psychiatrist. I am absolutely LOVING what he's doing with the character. That being said, LOTS of ground to cover, so let's dive in!

Hannibal S02E03 "Hassun" Review
The shaky "friendship" between Will & Hannibal continues but this time Hannibal's actions are bordering on careless and at this point I have to question The FBI's competence in dealing with Will's case. A lot of questions are coming up and we'll get to all of those right now...

Hannibal S02E02 "Sakizuki" Review
Damn this show just keeps getting more and more disturbing as time goes by. Now that we're settled into the path this season will take, groundwork is being laid for what I can only imagine will be the MOST hardcore reckoning in TV history. Mads' performance as Hannibal Lecter is not only good but it's down right terrifying.

Hannibal S02E01 "Kaiseki" Review
Ya know I joke a lot on this blog but I gotta say this one is gonna be hard to generate some "hahas" for because this series is DARK and RUTHLESS and good gravy was this ever a way to kick off a Second Season. While Kevin Williamson and his team scrambles to recapture the magic that was the first season of "The Following", DADDY'S BACK in "Hannibal" and he's showing everyone how it's done.

Let's Talk "Hannibal"...
So with NBC's newest series "Hannibal" wrapping up and being renewed for a 2nd season, I'm of the mind set that with "Dexter" wrapping up, someone needs to step up and fill the serial killer void. Who better than The Father Of Fictional Series Killer (Norman Bates being the Grandfather) Hannibal Lecter. In this article I'm going to discuss my likes and dislikes of this series. But I'm gonna preamble this by saying that my dislikes aren't dislikes but rather things I'd like to discuss. SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT SO IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED "HANNIBAL" DO NOT READ PASS THE BREAK!
